Recently, I was sent a wonderful list of neologisms that were the winners of a Washington Post contest. Following up on the contest, I called the Post to find out 1)the developer of the contest, Bob Levey, has been retired for 5-6 years and there hasn't been a recent contest in that time (so the e-mail I received was certainly not current).
Mr. Levey's replacement, John Kelly, stated that the paper no longer does the contest. Since reading the e-mail contest winners Wednesday, I was motivated to generate an initial list of my own (hopefully) neoligisms to submit to the Post but found out today that they no longer run the contest.
What does one do with an 8 page list of neologisms with nowhere to send them?
